Huizerdag

<<De Huizerdag is zo langzamerhand niet meer weg te denken uit de Huizer samenleving: een jaarlijks terugkerend feest op het 2e weekeind van september, waarin voor de bevolking van Huizen en omstreken volop aandacht wordt geschonken aan de traditionele én hedendaagse aspecten van de Huizer samenleving. Een festival waarin Huizen laat zien een levendig middelpunt van 't Gooi te zijn. Vele duizenden inwoners bezoeken jaarlijks de Huizerdag en wij hopen dat zij ook dit jaar weer zullen genieten van het geboden programma!>>

Wij, Sisters in Art, waren er ook weer bij met onze fimo sieraden en geschenken.
Helaas regende het deze zaterdag alleen pijpenstelen en moesten we eerder dan normaal opruimen toen de wind onder de kraam sloeg en we bijna opgetild werden. Alles werd nat en waaide om, dus dat had geen zin meer. Wel hebben we nog net even kunnen warm worden door mee te swingen met de Eindhovense Hurkers.

We, Sisters in Art, were also there again with our fimo jewelry and gifts.
Unfortunately this year it was raining cats and dogs and we had to pack up earlier than we normally would, especially when the wind came under the stand and we were almost lifted into the air. Everything became wet and things were blown over, so it was pointless to stay any longer. But just before that, we did have the chance to swing ourselves warm with the band from Eindhoven, the Hurkers.
